Welcome to Specter Performance Racing!

About Us

Specter Performance Racing was started in early 2009 by Ryan Pascuzzi and Nick Bruno as an idea for the future, a future in professional racing. While both drivers have entered the world of high performance driving in the last few years (Ryan in 2007 and Nick in 2009), the founding of SPR has served as a gateway for Ryan and Nick to get a foot in the door of the racing world.

At SPR we focus on several forms of racing, including: karting, autocross and road racing. Both Ryan and Nick kart indoors at their local track, GPNY. Serving as a way to stay on top of their driving skills in between racing, it has also helped to teach them how to drive while having to focus on and be aware of other racers. Although both SPR drivers are still developing, they are hoping to improve throughout the 2011 events they will be attending.

In February 2011, SPR secured sponsorship with APR Performance which is hopefully the first of many sponsorships to come! While road racing will be a costly process, SPR is hoping to secure more sponsorships as both drivers gain experience in Time Trial events with organizations such as
NASA, EMRA, CART, and COMSCC this coming year.

A comment from Ryan:

"Specter Performance Racing is not your normal race team that is looking to compete to further the team. While that would be great, the funds aren't available to do this. SPR is a way for myself and Nick to get into the professional racing world, not just be a weekend warrior driver. This may sound like a dream, which I do not shy away from saying, it is a dream that will be realized. While I am not a person that was born into a rich family like many drivers in the professional world, I was born into a family that has taught me to never quit no matter the adversity. I have made a promise to myself that I will not stop and do whatever it takes to become a professional race car driver. This a promise I plan on keeping."
